A troubled qualifying set off a weekend to forget at Oulton Park.

Starting from the back Dan was hit at the first corner in the first race. This resulted in a cracked exhaust and it was decided to bring him in rather than risk further damage to the car.

Race two went a little better, but not much. On the second lap he slid off on oil at Druids and damaged the front left suspension, ending his race.

The last race of the weekend made up for some of the lows, with Dan starting from 22nd and finishing 12th while setting a time over 2 seconds quicker than he managed in qualifying.

Comments from Dan:

“Well, obviously not how we wanted to start the season, but we knew we were short on pace here and had to take a few gambles and they didn’t pay off. I was fairly confident I could race those around me, regardless of our pace but it wasn’t until the third race that we could show what we could do. We seem to have found a more comfortable setup on the car so looking forward to Knockhill and being a bit more competitive.”
